The National Scenic Byway, or rightfully coined the “Highway of Waterfalls”, travels 172 mile from Roseburg to Gold Hill and follows two of Oregon’s most beautiful river sections. The North Umpqua and Upper Rogue. The byway passes more than a half-dozen waterfalls before reaching Diamond Lake, Mount Thielsen, and Mount Bailey. Crater Lake, Oregon’s only National Park, is an optional detour before heading south along the Upper Rogue River.
The numerous summer and winter activities and never-ending beauty, makes this byway one of Oregon’s most beloved areas.
